Web Project Manager
Job
Full-time
1/23/2018
Southeast Wisconsin
West Bend, WI

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing website projects, maintaining project schedules, and coordinating production-team resources using an agile process. In other words, you’re a people person at heart, a motivator—one who just happens to have a deep understanding of web-design standards and project-management methodology. You’re unflappable, able to work on a retargeting campaign for fertilizer one minute, a microsite for a global computing company the next—and then pitch in on print, social media, public relations, content development and video projects as needed. Thanks to your easy rapport with team members and can-do attitude, you contribute to the success of all projects by ensuring smooth creation and delivery of work efforts. You’re a bona fide subject matter expert on any project you touch, the go-to person for questions on scope, progress, scheduling, personnel, budget, and everything in between.

You’ll be a success in this position because you know organization and inspiration are not mutually exclusive. You’re able to see the big picture while keeping meticulous tabs on the small details, which lets you ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with account management team to understand and execute client requests.
  • Managing the scope, resources, budget and project schedule with minimal guidance from Account Manager by maintaining a high level of organization and management.
  • Resolving schedule conflicts and proactively guiding projects through internal processes and programs by problem-solving and resolving issues through peer collaboration and best-practice adherence.
  • Clarifying and communicating project objectives and success criteria to team.
  • Creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Reviewing deliverables prepared by team before passing to Account Managers.
  • Effectively applying our methodology and meeting project standards.
  • Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Collaborating with SEO team, developers, and other parties, establishing the vision and analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Ensuring approved requirements are developed in sufficient scope and detail to result in the delivery of a solution that meets customer needs.
  • Ensuring that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.
  • Attending client meetings as required.
  • Maintaining awareness of current industry environments that shape opportunities for client solutions.
  • Three to five (3-5) years project management experience with B2B & B2C experience. Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Marketing or related field or additional related experience.
  • A solid understanding of web design standards, usability, and rich media.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Great attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with large/complicated sites and high-profile clients.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • A solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings.
  • Intermediate computer skills required; MAC, Keynote, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Workamajig software knowledge a plus.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Full benefit packages including paid vacation, ten paid holidays, long-term disability, cafeteria insurance plan, and retirement plan contributions.
