JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Team Member Engagement and Communication Manager will work with the Jack Link’s VP HR to create a company-wide engagement strategy. The manager will also work with those responsible for integrating engagement concepts into supervisor tools and training so that strong supervisors become the primary conduit for increasing engagement. The manager will be responsible for the execution and overall communication as it relates to team member engagement initiatives and ensuring team member’s Feed Their Wild while being part of the Jack Link’s team!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Manage/support the strategic road map 
  • Work with Executive and HR leadership team to develop strategies and demonstrable links between engagement and their strategic goals 
  • Work with vendors and Human Resource partners to design, deploy, and evaluate effective and efficient engagement measurements 
  • Create an effective communication plan and provide content for various communication vehicles Leverage events to create and sustain dialogue around engagement, culture, and values 
  • Identify and address issues and solutions related to team member engagement 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify unique department/location needs while balancing the overall purpose and requirements of the team member engagement strategy 
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Required Education: Minimum of 5 plus years working within communication, change management or in a closely related field
  • Required Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading cross functional teams

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:

  • Strong experience working in partnership with leaders and colleagues to drive results.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of management/staff and across organizational lines.
  • Experience implementing diverse and high impact HR initiatives to support organizational objectives. 
  • Excellent influencing leadership
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience presenting to different audiences verbally, in writing and in presentation formats
  • Experience working with detailed information and numerical data and presenting it in a way that is easily understood by team members at different levels in the organization.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, based on feedback, stakeholder engagement, trend analysis, etc.
  • Experience in change management to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
