RocketLawnchair has an opportunity for an experienced Sr. Writer who loves to work with clients and grow their business (and ours). Starting with strategy, the Sr. Writer will develop positioning, messaging, concepts and copy that compel and sell every step of the way. He/she will work as one with a talented team of researchers, strategists, account executives, art directors, designers and production personnel to consistently deliver on the strategic objectives that will help our clients grow. 

  • Collaborate closely with research and account services personnel in the development of strategic client and product positioning and the associated messaging.
  • Brainstorm and develop smart, compelling creative concepts that clearly convey the strategic position and messaging.
  • Develop high-impact conceptual themes to communicate creative strategy.
  • Write, edit and refine accurate, compelling copy in both short and long forms for all print, electronic, digital and social media.
  • Effectively reduce complex topics to simple communications.
  • See the big picture without losing sight of the relevant details.
  • Partner effectively with art directors, production personnel, account executives and clients to meet strategic objectives within established budgets and timelines.
  • Proofread materials diligently and accurately for grammar, punctuation and content.
  • 5+ years’ advertising/marketing agency experience
  • Experience with B2B marketing/writing; knowledge of manufacturing, healthcare or distribution a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in an open, honest, collaborative team environment
  • Passion for strategy, positioning and messaging
  • Strong conceptual and visual thinking skills
  • Excellent creative writing ability
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Diligent proofreading capabilities
  • Rigorous attention to accuracy and detail
