We are seeking a Sr. External Communications Program Manager to play an important role in building, protecting and strengthening the credibility of the company among various internal and external stakeholders. If you have strong capabilities inreputation management, critical issues identification and management, and strategic communication this is a perfect role. The position will provide communications expertise on complex global IT challenges on issues relating to device security, cybersecurity, privacy and use of data. This position will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications.

A Day in the Life:

  • Anticipate and manage communications for issues that could impact the company’s reputation. 
  • Provide communications expertise on complex challenges on issues relating to device security, cybersecurity, privacy and use of data. 
  • Partner with Legal, Government Affairs, Investor Relations and other functions to formulate and coordinate positioning and messaging and stakeholder outreach on key issues. 
  • Liaise with Communications colleagues across business groups and regions to ensure readiness and consistent messaging on issues relating to device security, cybersecurity, privacy and use of data

Must Have: Minimum Requirements -

  • You will need a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of public relations, crisis communications and issues management, employee communications, public affairs and/or corporate communications experience

Nice to Have:

  • Masters in Journalism or Communications 
  • Mix of newsroom experience and Communications role in a large global corporate environment 
  • Previous experience supporting a global IT function helpful 
  • Technical aptitude for web-based solutions, social media and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully supporting transformation and change efforts that involve diverse sets of stakeholders 
  • Knowledge and understanding of both traditional and emerging communications channels, including social media and digital platforms 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to execute and coordinate projects efficiently and effectively; adjust to shifting priorities; ability to negotiate priorities with key business leaders.
