Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, English or related field required. Master’s degree in related field preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in brand, marketing, innovation/new product development and/or communications, with a track record of results, demonstrated skills, and advancement required
- Proven strategic and creative thinker, with innovation and project management experience
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Marketing Cloud preferred
- Experience working in collaborative/matrixed and/or mission-driven organization(s) preferred
- Experience working with the Stage Gate innovation process (or equivalent) to strategically evaluate new initiatives a plus

- Strong communications skills (oral, written, presentation, interpersonal) and collaborative approach to project development and management
- Prior experience leading, creating and accomplishing the goals of a marketing plan and communications strategy, ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
- Strong analytical skills. Candidate should have quantitative skills and the proven ability to analyze and report data across multiple channels, and manage budgets
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse audiences including peers and leadership
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Desire and ability to learn about issues relevant to infants, children, and families
- Ability to communicate and respond in a manner which consistently demonstrates respect, concern, and responsiveness
- Strong leadership and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks and prioritize multiple assignments
- Demonstrated timely follow-through and ability to work at a rigorous pace and meet deadlines
- Interest in and ability to readily acquire knowledge of a broad array of program, policy, research, and communications critical to the work of the Ounce
- Ability to collaborate and foster collaborative activities
