Summary:

As a member of the marketing and innovation team, the Sr. Marketing Manager, Product Solutions will play a critical, strategic role in leading product development, optimization and business-to-business marketing efforts for new and recently launched product lines that will address key challenges in the early childhood field. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategy and integrated marketing and communications plan for new and recently launched products – outlining marketing strategies and tactics 
  • Build an understanding of and segment communications for prospective target audiences 
  • Lead and execute primary market research activities and analyze secondary research as needed. 
  • Support product development and optimization efforts by strategically evaluating the feasibility and viability of innovation initiatives 
  • Lead the initial development and implementation of motivating digital and print content and messages to drive awareness and ultimately usage and loyalty 
  • Manage analysis of all marketing activities across digital and print communications and report on these activities on a regular basis 
  • Lead the creation and distribution of marketing materials to support ongoing sustaining efforts utilizing relevant marketing channels to reach audiences effectively 
  • Support event marketing planning for relevant conferences and events to help achieve overall business goals 
  • Lead and manage the work of freelance/external creative partners 
  • Serve as the marketing representative/voice, coordinating the work with cross functional product and program teams 
  • Partner closely with project director and cross functional development and implementation teams to ensure marketing efforts support overall project goals 
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, English or related field required. Master’s degree in related field preferred 
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in brand, marketing, innovation/new product development and/or communications, with a track record of results, demonstrated skills, and advancement required 
  • Proven strategic and creative thinker, with innovation and project management experience
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Marketing Cloud preferred 
  • Experience working in collaborative/matrixed and/or mission-driven organization(s) preferred 
  • Experience working with the Stage Gate innovation process (or equivalent) to strategically evaluate new initiatives a plus

  • Strong communications skills (oral, written, presentation, interpersonal) and collaborative approach to project development and management 
  • Prior experience leading, creating and accomplishing the goals of a marketing plan and communications strategy, ability to think strategically and deliver tactically 
  • Strong analytical skills. Candidate should have quantitative skills and the proven ability to analyze and report data across multiple channels, and manage budgets 
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse audiences including peers and leadership 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Desire and ability to learn about issues relevant to infants, children, and families 
  • Ability to communicate and respond in a manner which consistently demonstrates respect, concern, and responsiveness 
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities 
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks and prioritize multiple assignments 
  • Demonstrated timely follow-through and ability to work at a rigorous pace and meet deadlines 
  • Interest in and ability to readily acquire knowledge of a broad array of program, policy, research, and communications critical to the work of the Ounce
