Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for providing graphic design and desktop production expertise in support of the print, web graphics and design needs of the Firm as well as managing production of printed materials. The Senior Graphic Designer is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the Firm's attorneys and professional staff. The ideal candidate has proven experience in the design and print production process working within an established brand, as well as with typography, color and layout principles.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, layout and production of print and online marketing and promotional materials including brochures, white papers and other collateral; event materials; advertisements; and electronic newsletters.
• Ensure that firm materials are consistent with the firm’s visual identity system and brand guidelines.
• Coordinate and oversee production of the firm’s marketing collateral and business development materials. Ensure efficient and accurate production of materials from inception to delivery of final product.
• Work closely with vendors and Procurement to ensure consistent high-quality, error-free finished work product.
• Manage workflow and scheduling to ensure quality, on-time delivery in all stages of the process: conceptualization, design, layout, production and fulfillment. Ability to handle several projects simultaneously a must.
• Manage professional photography needs of the firm and update and manage digital asset library.
• Mentor members of marketing staff and oversee their work as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a professional environment.
• Extensive experience and proficiency with Mac and PC platforms.
• Expert in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash (CS5 Suite), and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with video production/animation software a plus.
• Technical knowledge of printing, pre-press and online production processes.
• Proven experience coordinating, scheduling and monitoring design and production process internally and with external vendors.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in conjunction with ongoing day-to-day deliverables; ability to change tasks quickly as priorities change.
• Experience with image compression, file correction and optimization techniques.
• Website, digital and email marketing design experience using HTML and CSS a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
