The Senior Associate Marketing Communications Manager (Water, Pool, Ice) will play a leading role in reigniting the Morton and Windsor brands and bringing our creative platforms to life across the company and in our key categories. The position will be embedded within the business to serve as a true business partner to our brand managers in the development and execution of key A&P plans. The successful candidate will champion brand communications that breakthrough the clutter and build brand equity with consumers and customers across our diverse set of categories and markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead brand communications for our Water, Pool and Ice Melt businesses (Retail and B2B) across North America.
  • In partnership with the Morton and Windsor brand managers, develop integrated marketing communication plans for the category that deliver on the business and brand strategy, objectives and KPIs.
  • Manage and flawlessly execute marketing communications plans from concept to completion, including advertising campaigns, digital/social activations, packaging design updates, shopper marketing programs and related activations in the marketplace.
  • Drive consistency across all category-level communications by partnering with brand managers to ensure advertising, promotions, packaging and other touch points represent brand positioning and adhere to brand guidelines. 
  • Direct and curate brand content on all TV, print, radio, digital and social channels to support key initiatives/programs as assigned.
  • Play a key role in the annual planning process, developing A&P plans that align with the brand strategy and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to support the evolution and activation of the Morton and Windsor Masterbrand platforms.
  • Bring fresh ideas and create breakthrough communications that support the brand strategy, desired brand image and perceptions.
  • Maximize content production budgets and outline best practices for content efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage creative and media-buying agency partners; lead the process and set expectations with agency partners for timely delivery of high quality work.
  • Perform creative service functions, such as copy development for websites, product packaging, promotional displays and other areas as needed.
  • Provide strategic marketing communications counsel to sales, brand and business leaders.
  • Work with Sales and brand managers to develop shopper marketing capabilities.
  • Work cross-functionally with a team of subject matter experts including Digital, PR, Insights, Legal, Finance, Procurement and more.
  • Identify outcomes and key learnings from campaigns and share with internal teams and agency partners to apply to future campaigns.
  • Measure performance and implement improvement measures to achieve desired results.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, brand management or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing communications experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry. 
  • Must have experience in developing and implementing strategic, integrated marketing communications plans, programs and materials.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for inspiring consumers and building strong brands
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in advertising creative development and media planning
  • Deep understanding of digital/social platforms to deliver new content, solutions and experiences that deliver on consumer/customer needs
  • Strong strategic and analytic capabilities with the ability to utilize data to support business strategy and decisions
