Baird is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual who will support and work in partnership Baird’s Public Relations Sr. Specialists and other associates in Marketing & Communications and throughout the firm. As a Public Relations Coordinator, you will plan, develop and implement public relations and other communications efforts to effectively convey Baird’s brand and key messages internally and externally.

As a Public Relations Coordinator, you will:

  • Assists with Baird’s overall media relations efforts, helping create news relearses and other media correspondence, developing media lists, tracking coverage, reprint coordination.
  • Helps research, write and implement internal news stories.
  • Submits compliance reviews, approvals for Public Relations team projects as requested.
  • Submits relevant news posting requests for Baird’s web sites and social media accounts.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Marketing preferred.
  • Must have strong writing, editing, communication, organizational and consensus-building skills.
  • Two or more years of Public Relations experience, financial services experience and relevant internships are a plus.
  • Ability to be a strong team player in a fast paced environment.

This is a temporary role to start early February and wrap up in June.
