Support campus-wide philanthropic activities by ensuring that the Chancellor, Assistant Chancellor for University Advancement, and other campus leaders and organizations have needed strategic constituent information. Responsible for the management of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database functions as well as Target Analytics wealth screening program to include staff training, prospect and donor data-entry including gifts, actions and queries, exports and reports. Support fundraising efforts of the University and the Foundation through identification, tracking, reporting and researching of donors and prospective donors. Some local travel is required. Performs other duties as required.

50% B. Database Management

1. Serve as the university and Foundation’s Raiser’s Edge database administrator.

2. Monitor and regularly audit the database to maintain a high level of data integrity, minimizing duplications and correcting coding or data entry errors as needed.

3. Maintain and update computer and paper (if needed) donor/prospect records, including key constituent lists (Foundation board, university advisory boards and committees, etc.) and alumni information.

4. Locate, evaluate and update research reference materials and annual Blackbaud subscription programs.

5. Provide specialized knowledge of database to the campus community for the creation of donor reports, mailing and email lists, event registration, and importing/exporting information.

6. Provide and coordinate training for other Raiser’s Edge users on campus and keep them up-to-date on best practices.

30% A. Prospect Research and Analysis

1. Identifies individuals, corporations, foundations, and organizations that have the potential to make gifts to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and the UW-Parkside Foundation.

2. Create in-depth biographical and financial profiles on leadership and major gift prospects, annual donors including alumni.

3. Perform wealth screening research as requested and provides research reports including charts and graphs for presentation purposes.

4. Review and analyze data and metrics to evaluate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship actions by leadership team members, board of directors and/or staff.

5. Review development officers’ actions for so the actions stay current.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.

20% C. Development Operations

1. Partner with Assistant Chancellor, staff and Foundation to work with the Finance Committee – be familiar with the categories of donations. Prepare financial/fundraising and donor reports as needed. Update the scholarships award reports quarterly.

2. Partner with Assistant Chancellor, staff and Foundation to prepare for events and other campus activities.

3. Collaborate with web design team to update and enhance Foundation, Alumni and University Advancement web pages as required.

4. Work with accountant and receive and monitor standard monthly, quarterly and annual finical reports.

5. Work with Foundation auditors in collaboration to execute annual audit.

Education, Experience, Training And/or Certifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, library sciences or related field

Minimum of three years of previous prospect research experience

Demonstrated database experience using Raiser’s Edge or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System as the database administrator for a minimum of two years

Preferred:

Prior experience supporting fundraising efforts in a collegiate environment Membership in APRA preferred

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
