JOB SUMMARY:

The Multimedia Specialist/Videographer partners with the Integrated Media Supervisor, Marketing & Communications Director, Service Line Marketing Manager and others to build positive community awareness or Prevea Health and HSHS Eastern Wisconsin Division Hospitals through video production and still photography to be used in various methods of internal and external communication.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with various teams within Prevea Health and HSHS-EWD to determine video and still content needs to support service lines as well as Prevea or HSHS-EWD needs.
  • At times, serve as video producer conducting interviews with physicians, colleagues, community members, etc.
  • Video production will include internal and external projects.
  • Edit footage using Final Cut Pro X.
  • Be able to properly light subjects and objects from prior lighting experience and knowledge.
  • Take still photography ranging from physician photos to capturing events.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Answer the shared marketing telephone line
  • Sort and distribute departmental mail
  • Accept packages/greet department guests
  • Other duties as assigned

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work as a team or individually and have strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • This position may involve evening and weekend work to assist with community events.
  • Must be organized and detail orientated.
  • The ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction is essential.
  • Strong and collegial working relationship skills, possessing a high level of diplomacy and effectiveness under pressure situations, are also required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is primarily performed in a sedentary office environment, which is well lit and ventilated.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • There will be in-studio video production as well as on-site location.
  • Must be able to carry video and lighting equipment up to 30 pounds.
  • Performs highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge applied in a variety of situations.
  • Work may be stressful at times due to tight deadlines.
  • It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and to work in an environment which may be very stressful, demanding and fast-paced.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, journalism or communications or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in journalism or video production.
  • Strong knowledge of video production and still photography.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations (including physicians, payers, consumers, businesses, educators, etc.) in a large, complex corporate structure.
