CG Schmidt is seeking an experienced Multimedia and Graphic Designer to add to our Marketing team. Working with the Marketing team, this position will be responsible for content creation, including light copywriting, creating graphics for project proposals and interviews, presentations, brochures, tradeshows, social media and referendum communications. This position will also create and edit videos for external use.

The Multimedia and Graphic Designer will work with employees at all levels of the company and within teams to complete various projects. Applicants will need to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, possess a service-oriented attitude, work well with all types of personalities, and be ready to help the team in “all hands on deck” situations that frequently occur in our dynamic environment. Applicants should also have excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills and feel comfortable with strategic business marketing.

  • Coordination and production of graphics for proposals and interviews, presentations and social media
  • Brochure design
  • Tradeshow booth graphics design
  • Referendum communications design for our education clients
  • Team participation in proposal coordination, layout and editing
  • Team participation in social media updates (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Team participation in website updates (WordPress)
  • Shoot compositionally pleasing event, project and jobsite photography
  • Video creation and editing for internal and external clients
  • Coordination with clients and team members to design and produce collateral materials
  • Prioritization of incoming projects
  • Document review for formatting and layout
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Able to prioritize projects and tasks
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Suite
  • Ability to shoot and edit video
  • Basic digital photography skills
  • Qualified candidates will be good listeners, efficient workers and team players who are not only organized, but also flexible with a desire to learn
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of applicable experience
  • Experience in the A/E/C field preferred
  • Portfolio of projects available for review
