The Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), formerly the Council of Residential Specialists, is seeking an experienced Member Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for organizing and championing all of the Council’s marketing efforts related to member acquisition, engagement and retention.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement all member recruitment, retention efforts and reinstatement marketing efforts. 
  • Manage the Council’s advertising sales efforts related to the annual print referral directory as well as the online and mobile versions. 
  • Participate in annual budgeting process; manage marketing budget expenses 
  • Manage the Council’s Real Magnet email marketing platform for all member marketing initiatives 
  • Manage the daily email and advertising calendar 
  • Develop and produce all member acquisition and retention related marketing emails and SMS text campaigns sent by the Council including: weekly acquisition email campaigns, ad hoc promotional SMS text campaigns, monthly RRC sponsored emails, marketing promotional emails, event promotional emails 
  • Manage renewal/reinstatement email lists and database 
  • Manage outside vendor, affiliation and sponsor relationships 
  • Oversee outside advertising relationships (e.g. Illinois Association of Realtors, RE/MAX, etc.) 
  • Manage and represent RRC onsite at conference and trade-show events 
  • Create and manage content for various aspects of the crs.com website 
  • Manage outbound telemarketing efforts for ad hoc promotional campaigns 
  • Analyze results and recommend new approaches and promotions to improve member acquisition and retention efforts 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Marketing Officer

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field 
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience, ideally with an association or nonprofit 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to create and implement ideas 
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work independently, as well as on a team 
  • Strong editing, writing and project management skills 
  • High level of creativity and initiative; able to balance multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines 
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience with association management database software (currently RRC uses Aptify AMS) 
  • Experience producing marketing materials and using relevant software for layout and publishing 
  • Experience managing communications programs including website (SiteFinity), email marketing (Real Magnet) and social media 
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications and Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to meet high volume work periods and to occasionally travel for association meetings and to support membership outreach
