We’re looking to add an energetic, driven marketer who’s ready to grab our sales funnel by the reigns and manage our lead generation efforts. As the marketing manager, you’ll be in charge of creating and addressing our target personas, developing marketing campaigns, working with others in the organization to get tasks done and ensuring our marketing goals are being met. The marketing manager is responsible for attracting website traffic, converting that traffic into leads for the business, and nurturing those leads to close into customers, the latter of which the Omni sales team will help accomplish. This person will serve as the critical link between sales and marketing at Omni.

The marketing manager will be the primary evangelist of HubSpot at Omni and will practice the core tenets of inbound marketing.To make Omni’s content efforts visible online, the marketing manager will understand the intricacies of effective SEO (defined keywords, meta data, link-building strategies, etc.), along with paid search and social media advertising opportunities. This person will be responsible for managing Omni’s on- and off-page SEO, implementing PPC campaigns and staying up-to-date on the latest search engine algorithm updates and news.

The marketing manager interfaces with various people in the company to move marketing initiatives forward. This includes meeting with internal subject matter experts to gather blog post content, the management team for marketing planning and strategy sessions, and various other team members to gather ideas for social media posts and press releases. In addition, this person works closely with design, copywriting, video and print vendors.

The marketing manager will be creative, flexible, dedicated and able to meet aggressive deadlines. The person in this role should have strong copywriting and editing skills, be able to create Omni’s buyer personas and be adept at planning workflows. The person in this role will need to understand Omni’s culture and brand, be deadline-driven and have the personality necessary to keep everyone on task and on time. He or she should understand marketing strategy and the use of analytics to measure and optimize performance. He or she will also be familiar with technical topics such as internet of things, big data, business intelligence, software development and business process automation.

1. Marketing Campaign Management – 70%

The marketing manager is responsible for creating and executing smart, compelling marketing campaigns including brainstorming creative campaign ideas, strategizing and implementing both inbound and outbound marketing tactics that resonate with target personas, collaborating with Omni subject matter experts (SMEs), sales team members, external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content to meet the needs of our audience. The marketing manager leads the creation of all targeted content offers which may include a mix of the following: eBooks, webinars, videos, blog posts, landing pages, calls-to-action, email, direct mail, social media posts and online advertising. The marketing manager will also coordinate Omni’s presence at sales-related tradeshows held throughout the year. He or she will manage the OmniAtrium Blog including helping to determine content topics, maintain editorial calendar, write copy, and coordinate illustration work with a designer. 

2. HubSpot Owner / Sales Training Development – 20%

The marketing manager is an evangelist for Omni’s HubSpot marketing platform. This person will develop best practices and training, and work side-by-side with business development managers to ensure that everyone is using the CRM and marketing automation tools to its full potential. This person should have deep knowledge of marketing automation, lead generation programs, email marketing and inbound marketing best practices. This person will work to both improve and demonstrate marketing’s contribution to the sales pipeline and company revenue goals. The marketing manager will work closely with Omni’s practice area directors to create a sales playbook for each practice area that supports the sales process. This person will also be responsible for securing customer testimonials and writing case study content. 

3. Community Involvement – 10%

The marketing manager will be responsible for coordinating Omni’s presence at various community related events in Milwaukee and Madison geographies. This person will also represent Omni as an attendee at a variety of community and business-related events.

Qualified candidates will have the following capabilities and attributes:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, public relations, advertising or a related business program
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in an agency or corporate communications environment. B2B experience preferred.
  • Ability to embrace and learn new technology quickly. Candidates who know their way around HubSpot, Trello, Evernote, Slack and Dynamics CRM will have a head start. 
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software in order to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them using dynamic workflows into converted customers. Professional experience with HubSpot is a definite plus. 
  • SEO/SEM experience with a proven track record of positive performance Proficiency with online keyword tools and web analytics software 
  • Experience in managing outside vendors (printers, photographers, copywriters, designers, video production companies, etc.) to accomplish campaign objectives Able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines 
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
