Our Marketing team has an open opportunity for a Lead in our Creative Services group. The Marketing Lead – Creative is responsible for developing original creative / design concepts and approaches. She/he oversees multiple projects through execution and oversees all creative operations. The creative lead directs the activities of his/her staff to maintain the in-house creative teams’ standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability, while achieving the business partners’ goals.

Creative Excellence

  • Develops and delivers thought leadership and creative solutions
  • Responsible for articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices
  • Promotes continual creative improvement and actively contributes to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability
  • Ensures the timely development and execution of plan, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved

Budget Management

  • Plans, develops, and defends budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide both profitable and quality service to business partners
  • Provides detailed information and cost estimates to assure accurate data on which to plan and develop functional objectives and budgets

Talent Management

  • Provides leadership/motivation/training/mentoring and conveys the vision and values of Creative Services to the creative staff
  • Oversees creative consultations with project managers to assure appropriate creative strategies, adequacy/accuracy of input, schedules, budgets, production support, necessary reviews, and business partner presentations
  • Assures the staff adheres to established policy/procedures
  • Maintains external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required

We are looking for someone with...

A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience at an advertising, marketing or communications agency or equivalent, including serving a national/global organization. In addition, she/he will have demonstrated the following:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of brand development and multi-channel marketing concepts
  • Strong production experience in traditional and non-traditional channels including video, print/design, social and digital
  • The ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; read, interpret and articulate complex information
  • Experience with a variety of software, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.
  • Experience managing budgets, clients and teams
  • Motorcycle rider, or willing to become one
  • Ability to travel 25-30% is required
