Camp Halcyon is a summer camp for adults in central Wisconsin. We offer all-inclusive 21+ vacation packages to people who want to get away in the northwoods - and have the time of their life. We are looking for a marketing intern to assist the camp director with the day to day marketing operations of the Camp Halcyon brand.

Social Media and Digital Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the designing, maintaining and developing content for Camp Halcyon social media channels (Facebook + Instagram) 
  • Coordinate the designing and implementation of Facebook, Instagram and Google advertising campaigns 
  • Coordinate promotional events throughout Milwaukee area, and assist/coordinate the execution 
  • Develop a corporate sales outreach program to draw corporate and group sales to summer 2018 sessions 
  • Manage former camper outreach programs to encourage retention

Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • College junior or senior. Student studying Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design or Public Relations preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Proficient in Google AdWords, Facebook and Instagram Advertising 
  • Knowledge of basic web design – HTML, Word Press and similar programs a plus 
  • Ability to learn and use cloud-based, collaborative platforms (such as Google Drive) 
  • Be a self-starter- able to work remotely while remaining focused and committed to helping camp reach its sales goals 
  • Be a generally enjoyable person :) 
  • Be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously and be highly organized
  • Hold interest in public relations, communications, marketing and brand behavior 
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines 
  • We anticipate that this position will take up roughly 10-15 hours a week, with more time on select weekends when promotional events are being activated - and also during the weeks of camp sessions.
