Primary Role:

Develop and edit marketing content across different channels within all three regions of the business. This Executive will have proven literary skills and success within marketing, with a natural ability to write optimized content for different audiences both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with Content and Communications Manager to implement cross-channel content strategy and editorial calendar.
  • Research, create and edit content for all marketing vehicles: emails (both internal & external), company intranet, social media, white papers, sales material and surveys.
  • Pull together engaging content, to support existing products, procedures, company announcements and strategic based collateral.
  • Carefully proof and edit content given by the Content and Communications Manager.
  • Work in line with the Global Marketing Director’s strategy and objectives, with the ability to support the Marketing Team where needed.
  • Regularly review existing digital and print content, to ensure messaging is relevant, brand voice is consistent, company facts are up date and service offering is correctly aligned.
  • Actively manage the content published within the company intranet: ensuring communications are regularly reviewed, changed and uploaded whilst also working with departments in communicating their announcements to the business.
  • Support Global Content and Communications Manager in creating dynamic thought provoking content, with a good level of industry and market knowledge.
  • Maintain and acquire a consistent voice that represents the AFEX brand, adjusting tone and style for each audience and demographic.
  • Balance business objectives, stakeholder demands and trending topics with customer expectations to deliver and impactful and relevant message.
  • Ensure content assignments are delivered within the desired timeline.
  • Work with Global Content and Communications manager on PR when required.
  • Proof read and help create press releases in conjunction with our communications and PR strategy.
  • Support other departments through collaboration of ideas, copyediting and proof reading on any internal or external communication that has surpassed the relevant approval process.
  • Assist in the configuration and analysis of company surveys, whilst recognizing the importance of integrating the collected data within external and internal communications.
  • Help identify key competitor content strategies and recognize the competitive landscape.
  • Support the launch of products and internal programs/systems.

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience 
  • Strong literary skills, with a background in writing articles, sales material, whitepapers and press releases.
  • Preferred experience within the Financial Services industry, with a basic understanding of the FX industry. 
  • Ability to think of the reader first, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume the information. 
  • Ability to create long-form content and real-time (immediate) content. 
  • A strong willingness to learn AFEX’s full suite of product offering, departmental roles and demographical differences in speech and grammar. 
  • Ability to work within deadlines, weekly and monthly. 
  • Obtain very strong editorial and proof reading skills with exceptional organization. 
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • A very good attention to detail, with the ability to correct spelling, spacing and punctuation. 
  • Have the ability to accept and incorporate critiques from various stakeholders within the business. 
  • Good creative writing skills with the ability to write persuasive text and create strong presentations.
