POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Communications Specialist will work closely with Downstream Marketing Team, Sales, Upstream Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Training teams to develop RFPs, internal Marketing/sales communications, promotional marketing campaigns, sales tools, printed and web-based collateral to support a variety of marketing and communications programs that help support overall company goals and objectives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate the RFP process working closely with the Sales team and ensure our responses align with company messaging and branding standards. 
  • Produce, manage and coordinate all writing projects, gaining approval of creative content, circulating the copy for review, editing where necessary. 
  • Serve as the quality clearinghouse for all written Marketing communications to internal and external audiences. 
  • Work with the Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist to manage content calendar and maintaining deadlines. 
  • Measure, track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs and RFPs to identify trends, problems and opportunities. 
  • Work with Marketing team and agency partners to create/update all product literature brochures and sales tools. 
  • Evaluate all creative, sales tools and RFPs for relevance to target personas customers, conformance to branding standards in style, tone, and design. 
  • Write emails, blog posts, social posts, develop article ideas, research, verify and approve all facts, develop copy working with the Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist. 
  • Ensure all internal and external marketing materials are up to date on the UHS Company Store and Sales and Marketing SharePoint site. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • BA in Journalism, English, Marketing or Communications. 
  • One to three years’ experience developing marketing communications materials, managing RFPs and sales tools in a B2B environment. 
  • One to three years’ experience creating and producing high-impact, creative integrated promotional campaigns preferably supported by a portfolio of original work. 
  • Experience developing communications materials designed for a healthcare audience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES;

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work within monthly and weekly deadlines. 
  • Team player that is reliable, flexible, positive, helpful and works well in a collaborative environment
  • Work product portfolio preferred. Writing samples required.
