Primary Job Purpose/Function:

Work collaboratively with global Technical Marketing, Sales and other Corporate functions to promote products, services and corporate messaging to drive the full range of marketing communications priorities, including branding, message development and delivery, and deployment of global trade shows, customer seminars and other marketing events. Based on the needs of key stakeholders, develop, design and maintain marketing communications assets and promotional materials, and distribute through various communications channels in support of the company’s business and product strategies, and branding efforts. Develop, design, implement, optimize, maintain, and support web-based marketing channels, including the company’s websites and social media presence, to promote corporate and product brands, messaging and offerings to target audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design and maintain external and internal marketing communications assets and promotional materials, both corporate and technical in nature, and distribute through various communications channels 
  • Develop, design, implement, optimize, maintain, and support web-based marketing channels, including the company’s websites and social media presence, to promote corporate and product brands, messaging and offerings to target audiences 
  • Ensure that corporate and product brands are communicated consistently across marketing communications channels, and are in line with corporate strategies Work with global product teams and legal department to develop and maintain product brands, logos and trademarks 
  • Work collaboratively with global Technical Marketing and Sales functions to promote products and services 
  • Drive, analyze and measure the execution of regular customer communications (i.e., quarterly customer newsletter) in support of corporate goals; partner with global functions to determine and execute customer communications strategies 
  • Work collaboratively with other Corporate functions to promote corporate brands and messaging to target audiences 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new and existing communications platforms 
  • Maintain and update corporate websites and social media platforms, and content, and perform software updates 
  • Lead, coordinate and execute global trade shows, customer seminars, and other marketing events, such as product launches, by partnering with global functions, working with outside vendors, tracking costs, and managing invoices 
  • Work with outside vendors to assist with marketing communications initiatives, such as corporate video creation and distribution 
  • Recommend and conduct appropriate marketing communications research 
  • Select and manage vendors, such as website hosting providers, videographers and social media sponsors

Job Specifications:

  • Proficiency in graphics design, content management, website development and maintenance 
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communications skills, with careful attention to detail 
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills 
  • Self-motivated with a high level of creativity, energy and a sense of urgency 
  • Ability to understand the company’s business strategies and deliver innovative materials that align with corporate goals 
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, high profile global environment as both an individual contributor and as a member of a team 
  • Capability to interact effectively with technical personnel (i.e. scientists, information technology professionals and vendors) 
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative; work broadly across functional teams to analyze problems, recommend and implement appropriate innovative, tech-savvy solutions

Education and Experience:

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or relevant field preferred 
  • Three years of experience as a Marketing Communications Specialist or similar role 
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office Applications; hands-on experience with WordPress or similar web content management tools; comfortable with various social media platforms, and knowledge of marketing email campaigns, SEO and Google Analytics a plus
