Job Summary:

The Communications Manager will create, implement and oversee internal communications programs and projects to promote Boyd Group’s brands, services, and culture. The CM will align all communications that effectively and consistently convey our Boyd Group’s Vision, Mission and Goals. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong writing skills and project management.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Serve asprimaryresource/point of contact withinmarketing departmentforboth internal and externalcommunicationsprojects Contribute to brand development and company performance by participating as an active member of corporate marketing team Participate in the creation ofintegrated marketing planswith emphasis on designing, developingand launchingmarketing communications

Internal Communications

  • Create company literature, product marketing and promotional materials, press releases, media relations content, case studies, presentations, newsletters and social media content both print and electronic 
  • Develop corporate correspondence materials for employees and shops to keep them informed of company developments 
  • Promote key initiatives and accomplishments within the company 
  • Work with Marketing Team to ensure consistency with external brand communication and leverage social media channels 
  • Create and maintain processes for consistent brand messaging and corporate identity standards 
  • Oversee internal branding programs such as shop uniforms and signage 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and HR, to develop collateral materials (brochures, video, etc.) to support key corporate goals 
  • Support Sales Team preparation of presentations 
  • Participate in operational initiatives aimed at increasing customer satisfaction

External Communications

  • Manage marketing materials to positively impact customer experience 
  • Oversee standardization of collateral materials 
  • Supervise purchasing programs with outside vendors 
  • Develop and implement corporate charity strategy and programs; assist with local marketing programs 
  • Write press releases to deliver earned media opportunities to enhance market position

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications)
  •  5+ years similar experience 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in marketing communications including traditional and digital marketing, public relations and corporate communications 
  • Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design skills 
  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter with strong written and oral abilities 
  • Outstanding writing skills for press releases, newsletters, media pitches, social media and web content. 
  • Possess ability to develop content in multiple formats including written articles, social media posts, PowerPoint slides, video, infographics, etc. 
  • Show creativity with the ability to develop new ways to tell stores in a variety of vehicles 
  • Basic formatting and layout capabilities a plus 
  • Work collaboratively and communicate successfully with all levels of internal and external contacts 
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize projects impacting the work of others 
  • High attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple ongoing activities 
  • Be proactive in nature who can successfully reach out to a diverse staff to meet their communications needs
