The Marketing & Events Assistant will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of client seminars, receptions and certain other firm-hosted events. This person also will provide support on a variety of other marketing – related activities. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly professional environment and be able to learn and adapt to new technology quickly. Strong graphic design and writing skills are a necessity. Schedule flexibility and the ability to work some overtime before and after business hours is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating and staffing firm events. Tasks will include: budgeting, site selection, facility arrangements, invitation distribution through the firm’s e-mail marketing system, assembly of materials, set-up of audio-visual equipment, on-site staffing of event, and tracking and reporting on responses through the firm’s contact relationship management system. 
  • Assist Recruiting with certain event logistics for the Summer Associate Program. 
  • Update the Events section of the firm’s website and provide backup assistance for other web site content management as needed. 
  • Help maintain the data integrity of the firm’s contact relationship management system (CRMS). 
  • Update the events calendars on the firm’s Intranet site (SharePoint). 
  • Prepare a monthly report detailing all business development and networking opportunities to distribute firm-wide 
  • Serve as a resource for day-to-day marketing needs and questions. 
  • Assist with other Marketing Department projects, as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field 
  • One to three years of experience in event planning. 
  • Experience working with a CRM system and/or event planning software 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator is required
