As a Manager of Communications Measurement – a key member of the Brand Building Services Media team – you will advance the company’s work in measuring effectiveness our communications plans across hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing investment. You will help inform the company’s overarching approach to measuring modern brand building communications to enable faster iteration, optimization and maximization of marketing activities in support of achieving our growth objectives. By working with brand teams (including our Global Consumer Insights team), agency partners, media and analytics companies you will develop and deploy measurement processes, techniques and capabilities to create competitive advantage for General Mills and our diverse portfolio of leading brands.

In this role you will:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership around modern media and communications measurement 
  • Identify, test, integrate and scale best-in-class media and communications measurement approaches and tools 
  • Enhance and supplement existing marketing mix measurement in partnership with the Global Consumer Insights team 
  • Consult with brand teams and agency partners to guide measurement frameworks for brand campaigns and activations 
  • Coordinate activity with third-party measurement partners bringing new ideas, thinking and approaches forward 
  • Oversee data strategy and implementation in support of communication and media planning and execution 
  • Activate real-time planning and optimization capabilities using our dynamic campaign visualization space (The Loop) 
  • Develop test and learn plans to gain early understanding of new and/or emerging channels, tactics and suppliers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Advertising/Communications or equivalent required 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications measurement and/or marketing analytics 
  • Hands on development of innovative measurement approaches and capabilities for consumer brands 
  • Strong knowledge of and relationships with leading players in the marketing measurement and analytics marketplace 
  • Working understanding of communications planning and media specifically in the U.S. market 
  • Strategy, analytics, communication and relationship building skills are keys for success 
  • Packaged foods/goods experience preferred
