The Integrated Marketing Manager is a key member of the MCTS Marketing Department, a forward thinking, fast paced group of creative and organized professionals responsive for all marketing and communications functions of the Milwaukee County Transit System. This position plays a critical role in all marketing, public relations, social media, design and other creative efforts. 

The position works with staff across the organization to ensure brand identity and brand awareness. The candidate must be an energetic leader who can juggle day to day deadlines with long-term projects. To succeed here, you must be able to work with our talented team while also be comfortable tackling projects with minimal supervision. We’re looking for a strong writer and communicator who has a talent for tech and an eye for creative and clear design.

The Integrated Marketing Manager plays a critical role in all marketing, public relations, social media, design and other creative efforts. This position utilizes various types of technology and software programs to produce content that is promoted through different platforms. The Integrated Marketing Manager also oversees the yearly advertising contracts and advertising trade program which have a current value of approximately $1 million in yearly revenue to MCTS. This position balances multiple projects with short and long-term deadlines with minimal supervision, and works with staff across the organization to ensure brand identity and brand awareness. 

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE:

The Integrated Marketing Manager reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. The position supervises the Graphic Designer and Marketing Associate positions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and execute marketing, communication and public relations campaigns in collaboration with the MCTS Marketing Team. 
  • Create, produce and edit videos highlighting MCTS Excellence and accomplishments in collaboration with the MCTS Marketing Team. 
  • Develop and demonstrate clear, comfortable, persuasive presentations for both formal and informal settings; and ensure certain presentation support materials are consistent and in line with expectations of quality. 
  • Manage MCTS advertising contracts and advertising trade program. Lead and manage department specific programs across departments. 
  • Act as a spokesperson for MCTS with the media as needed. 
  • Exhibit proactivity with all work including media and community relations, organization of news conferences and preparation of supporting materials. 
  • Work with MCTS Marketing Team to maintain and update website and social media sites.
  • Convert data into marketing intelligence. 
  • Maintain high commitment to quality by proofing all work for accuracy. Remain detail-oriented while not losing sight of big picture. 
  • Demonstrate dependability and a sense of urgency to complete projects and motivate team members to move projects forward.
  • Five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations or associated field. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related discipline. 
  • Considerable knowledge of Adobe Creative Products such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro with the ability to create content for marketing and communication purposes. 
  • Must be available 24/7 for emergency incidents, and during non-traditional work hours for presence at various special events and meetings.
  • Experience in process and project management. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal direction and maximum initiative. 

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to effectively provide both oral and written communications requiring good verbal expression, satisfactory hearing and eyesight, clarity sufficient to read.
