Image Manipulation - Temp Gig

C2's client, a leading provider of equipment and service solutions for senior living, seeks a production artist to perform image manipulations in Photoshop and Illustrator for print and web projects. Color correction, clipping paths, masking, line art, some InDesign and pre-press skills will be required in the day-to-day responsibilities of this role.

Start date: Mid-July

Duration: Mid-October, Full-time, 8-5 pm, 2-3 months

Location: Onsite in northwest Milwaukee

The right candidate will primarily focus on image manipulation and line art illustrations but should be capable enough to help with Production Design.

• Work in Photoshop to alter images for marketing materials 

1. Photo manipulation 
2. Color correcting 
3. Clipping paths

• Work in Illustrator to create line art or alter vector images and technical drawings for marketing materials and manuals
• Perform pre-press work to get files ready for external printer 
• Preflight files (i.e., checking for RGB images, spell checking, bleeds, low-res images
• Create hi-res PDFs
• Collect files for output
• Produce print promotional materials (catalogs, flyers, advertisements,etc.)
• Perform typesetting changes
• Pull in and format copy and photographs
• Maintain consistency within promotional pieces
• Create hardcopy or digital proofs for client review

Ideal candidate possesses:

• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Intermediate knowledge of Adobe InDesign
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
• Ability to produce error-free documents within communicated timeframe
• Demonstrated knowledge of Mac-based computer system
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously 

Hourly rate based on qualifications, $22-$24/hour
