JOB PURPOSE:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and delivery of designs and messages that engage Buffalo Wild Wings’ fans and employees. This role creates graphics for print and digital applications that follow brand guidelines, achieve strategic creative objectives and solve business problems.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design visual solutions for communication vehicles supporting consumer-facing marketing campaigns, and internal communications. 
  • Assist Creative Manager, Brand Managers and agency partners in developing print, design, and brand specifications. 
  • Formulate and pitch concepts to internal clients based on creative briefs. 
  • Manage projects from design through completion to ensure schedule integrity while maintaining Buffalo Wild Wings’ quality and brand standards. 
  • Communicate with outside printers and vendors for specific project deliverables; check printing proofs; attend press checks on-site when necessary, attend and art direct photo shoots. 
  • Motivate, inspire and mentor creative team members.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate across departments to create marketing efforts that meet the overall goals and strategies of the company. 
  • Handle agency and vendor inquiries about Buffalo Wild Wing’s style guidelines, procedures, capabilities, pricing, invoices, etc. 
  • Create and maintain files, track costs associated with projects, and help build and maintain marketing and design tools and resources. 
  • Assist in all other assigned design and creative duties.

Required -

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Graphic Design related degree 
  • 5-7 years of experience in graphic design/print production in an agency or in-house creative dept. 
  • Fully proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Knowledge and competency in: MS Office, Mac OS; Macintosh troubleshooting capability required. 
  • Must be able to immediately handle a significant workload and effectively prioritize projects with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information. 
  • Excellent problem solving and project management skills. 
  • Able to take direction and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently. 
  • Strong aesthetic sense and knowledge of typography, color and production. 
  • Continuous learning to keep skills and industry knowledge current. 
  • Electronic production experience and a thorough understanding of digital pre-press, file management and printing limitations. 
  • Work closely and at ease with all levels of staff and management, from the store level to the corporate office. 
  • Ability to manage vendor/agency relationships.

Preferred -

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, content management systems and social media. 
  • AIGA Member
