The Division of Recreational Sports is looking for highly innovative, passionate, motivated, energetic, and team-oriented people who will work hard to inspire campus to PLAY HARD. GET FIT. LIVE WELL. We aim to not only be on the cutting-edge of recreational trends, but to be out front, setting the standards. In March 2014, our division passed a $236-million referendum to construct two new recreation centers and two new outdoor turf playfields. We value the contributions and perspectives of everyone on our team as we build the future of campus recreation at Wisconsin. With our first recreation center expected to open in the 2019-2020 school year, this year’s intern class will have an opportunity to contribute to the planning and vision of that facility. You will be encouraged to share your previous experiences and ideas for how we can deliver the best services and programs to campus.
Besides our talented, innovative, fun-loving staff, there are many other reasons to consider joining our team. We value the whole college experience and believe that recreation plays an integral role in the current and future success of our students. We trust our team’s experiences and education, and we encourage employees to pursue new ideas and think outside the box. New team members have the opportunity to make a difference starting their first day on the job.
Overall, we are committed to the professional development of our employees and hope to provide a meaningful experience to our students as well as our professional staff. We lead based on strengths and will provide opportunities for professional development, including NIRSA, Region III Lead-On, and other conferences related to your professional goals.
