The River Alliance of Wisconsin seeks an organized and energetic communications and development professional committed to clean water for all. The Events & Marketing Coordinator will lead event coordination and related communications and development tasks. People with event planning experience, strong communication skills, basic graphic design abilities, creativity and a passion for water conservation will find this an appealing position. Experience with fundraising is a plus!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide event management assistance including, but not limited to, coordinating volunteers, managing logistics, developing sponsorship materials, soliciting auction items, researching venues and day-of-event support
  • Perform basic graphic design tasks to create promotional materials using Adobe Suite, Canva, or similar tools 
  • Contribute to and assist with editing digital and print communications 
  • Assist with social media marketing and content creation 
  • Build pages and blog posts in Wordpress 
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Professional and Personal Qualifications:

  • Commitment to water conservation and environmental protection 
  • Demonstrated experience with event planning 
  • Demonstrated success with event and program marketing, including social media marketing 
  • Strong writing and communications skills 
  • Tech. savvy and comfort using and learning new software 
  • Bachelor’s degree

This position is 80% and for a limited term of 1 year. The position will be located in Madison, WI. Salary commensurate with experience.
