The Events & Engagement Intern is responsible for helping with various Chamber projects, including planning Chamber events large and small, staffing tables at various community events, engaging with members, and other work as needed.
Qualified interns should:
- Be dependable, detail-oriented, motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Have an interest in LGBT issues, nonprofit management, business, and/or communications;
- Have strong writing, researching, and interpersonal skills;
- Have reliable transportation to and from work;
- And be available to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (including some weekend and evening hours)
- Additionally, skills in graphic and/or website design and online/social media tool management are a plus, but not required.
