Spectrum Nonprofit Services, LLC seeks an energetic, self-starting professional with an interest in nonprofit management and an expertise in clear and compelling communication to join our team. This position will direct Spectrum’s business development, marketing and communications efforts, provide administrative support both internally with staff and externally with clients, and assist to coordinate Spectrum’s training and consulting initiatives with community-based organizations and funders.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Working in partnership with the Practice Director to implement a business development and community relations plan including marketing strategy development, special events and sponsorship planning, and community outreach. 
  2. Managing new client onboarding and close out procedures including intake, proposal writing, capacity assessment, pre-contract, and follow-up work. 
  3. Maintaining and enhancing marketing efforts including creative and technical support for Spectrum’s brand, website, social media, collateral material, and consultant relationships. 
  4. Contributing to the advancement of Spectrum by supporting the Principal and team members in all initiatives, including national speaking and research. 
  5. Administrative functions with the consulting, training, nonprofit management, and leadership initiatives of Spectrum including facilitating team meetings, running monthly reports, conducting quarterly business analysis, and other functions as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated commitment to Spectrum’s mission, client-centered approach and philosophy. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at different phases. 
  • Strong computer skills, comfort using and learning multiple systems, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel and client management software. 
  • Excellent writing skills, including a proven ability to create a clear, consistent and compelling message. 
  • Technical understanding of social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn and Twitter, and website management. 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work both collaboratively as well as independently in an informal, fast-paced environment. 
  • Relevant educational experience and experience in a professional work environment.
