Overview:

The job of Director of Corporate Communications will build, direct and oversee the organization’s communication function. The role will initially focus on developing and implementing communications best practices, content and channels and will evolve to a strategic communications leadership role with oversight of company reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Build/implement/maintain effective and consistent communications practices and routines 
  • Lead and manage internal and external communication employees and resources 
  • Direct the execution of 12-month editorial calendar, prompting and supporting the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) messages and activities 
  • Collaborate with HR and other partners to engage employees, drive change and advance company goals 
  • Partner with ELT and business units to define and execute external communication strategies that support brand positioning with customers, investors, and other key stakeholders 
  • Drive industry thought leadership, elevate executive positioning and provide executive communications training 
  • Develop and maintain strong media relationships 
  • Define and develop communication channels based on content, reach, and effectiveness 
  • Increase organizational readiness to respond to a reputation crisis 
  • Measure communications effectiveness 
  • Other duties as required

Required:

  • 15+ years in corporate communications 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization 
  • Possesses keen business acumen 
  • Excels as thinker, writer, speaker, and listener 
  • Manages a team and external resources effectively 
  • Thinks and operates with an enterprise perspective
