Our Business Development team works with loyalty strategists, account leads, creative teams, data insights and technology experts, finance, and others to develop responses to new business opportunities and follow up on leads and RFPs from prospective clients and other Ogilvy/WPP offices. We employ a consultative sales approach in pursuit of strategic customer marketing and retention initiatives for leading brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support agency revenue growth by successfully developing responses to opportunities with new clients in the range of $3-5MM/fees annually
  • Lead the development of responses to RFIs, RFPs and pitch presentations, in collaboration with various practices and functions at TLG
  • Manage TLG’s thought leadership initiative including the development and management of an editorial calendar, sourcing of cases and topics, and project managing the development, packaging and distribution of thought leadership materials
  • Handle exploratory intake and capabilities meetings and assess fit with TLG’s expertise and business goals
  • Develop deep understanding of all of TLG’s capabilities
  • Liase with new business offices within Ogilvy and other specialty units
  • Form and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with complimentary technology and service providers
  • Contribute on strategic services work for new clients as needed
  • Champion tools and processes to efficiently respond to requests
  • Develop content and case studies in partnership with account services to build TLG’s library of experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, economics, or related field.
  • 8+ years in Marketing Consulting and/or demonstrated work experience in Direct Marketing, CRM or Loyalty Marketing. Agency experience required.
  • Strong storytelling skills and a good eye for detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of all materials that leave the agency
  • Strong executive presence and consultative sales skills
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive in an unstructured environment
  • Effective problem-solver who can manage time effectively and work independently
  • Cooperative, flexible, adaptable, conscientious, dependable, resourceful, self-motivated
  • Very strong proficiency in Powerpoint/Keynote and excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
