A day in the life

This is a multifaceted position and requires you to comfortably and flexibly move between several roles:

As a Digital Team Leader:

  • You empower and delegate, but stay in touch to ensure we're delivering high-quality work, on time and within budget, that makes our clients happy.
  • You keep a critical eye on our services portfolio and work closely with the team to continuously refine our offerings to better position Acumium as a compelling digital marketing partner.
  • You know the bottom line's important, and you help do what's needed to maximize profitability.
  • You help shape every aspect of your team’s evolution, from staffing to roadmaps, and you gladly put energy and sweat equity into whatever's coming next.
  • You relish a spot at the pre-sales table to talk up our capabilities and help drive new business. After the sale, you’re ready to dive in and bring big ideas and creative horsepower every day.

As a Technical Project Lead:

  • You take the reins on projects that require skillful guidance, deep expertise, and tenacity to get the job done. Sometimes it’s just you, but often it’s directing a small team to make big impact.
  • You comfortably sit face-to-face with clients leading them through discovery and planning sessions.
  • You develop client marketing strategies that will bring value, and then readily jump into the trenches and get your hands dirty, working side-by-side with your team to get the work done.
  • You slice, dice, and analyze tests you’re running and data you’re capturing and translate that into meaningful stories for our clients to consume.

What you bring

Leadership and Coaching:

  • You bring strong, steady leadership every day. Your team knows they can count on you to have their back, to coach and develop, and to buffer against distractions.
  • You're supportive and positive, setting a good example and contributing meaningfully to our “work hard/play hard” culture.
  • You're fearlessly candid and don't ever hesitate to bring ideas and concerns to leadership (and we love that, because we know it means you care).
  • You bring 2+ years of hands-on leadership experience, preferably directly serving customers at an agency, plus a degree relevant to the work at hand (but feel free to convince us why, in your case, those things don't matter).
  • You offer relentless courage, curiosity, and drive to help us grow into our next stage as a company.

Technology Proficiency:

  • You have 4+ years of hands-on, technical experience and proven expertise in a few of the following areas: SEO, PPC, digital advertising, creative campaign development, email, content marketing, and conversion optimization with website and marketing programs.
  • Navigating Google Analytics is second nature to you. Whether or not you’re certified, you know how to segment, filter, and distill raw findings into something actionable and meaningful for clients.
  • You’re a marketing software power user with a big toolkit including things like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, Optimizely, Pardot, MailChimp, AdRoll, Adwords, Moz, WordPress, and others. You’re also happy to investigate, learn, operationalize and launch new, game-changing technologies to drive campaigns and get results.
  • You’ve got experience working with online retailers in either B2C and/or B2B ecommerce.
  • You really want to wow us, so you’ve also got skills like website optimization/testing/usability, strong and engaging writing, and basic creative design skills.
