UW-Whitewater is looking for a high-energy, self-starting professional to serve as Digital Marketing Coordinator.

This full-time position will oversee the university’s primary social media accounts, create compelling digital content to further student recruitment goals and tell the campus’ story across platforms. The position will collaborate with the web team to support marketing initiatives from wireframes to completion. This position reports directly to the assistant vice chancellor of University Marketing and Communications. You will be part of an energetic and collaborative staff.

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or equivalent area of study
  2. A minimum of 1-3 years web or e-marketing experiencein a professional setting
  3. The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  4. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to think creatively
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and communications principles
  7. Solid organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking
  8. Able to work independently and as part of a team
  9. Able to write and use images to clearly and persuasively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  10. Basic knowledge of web content management systems, Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office, and understanding of HTML and CSS
  11. Exceptional attention to detail with strong understanding of user-centered design, user experience and mobile-responsive best practices
  12. Understanding of web and social media analytics Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
  13. Knowledge of AP Style
  14. Curiosity and ability to learn new skills and keep up with industry trends
  15. Knowledge of higher education

This position will be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills.
