Corporate Communications Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the internal and/or external corporate communications plan for a business unit. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the research of communication needs and establishes goals and objectives. 
  • Experience in communicating with external providers and practices. 
  • Researches, develops, reviews and/or edits communications materials for senior management, project teams and external providers/partners. 
  • Serves as senior editor of corporate and/or external communications and coordinates with teams in posting of appropriate messages. 
  • Partners with leadership to develop and implement a strategic communications plan in support of the SBU/CEE’s overall initiatives. 
  • Provides guidance or direction to team members on departmental projects on communication needs and approach, both internally and externally. 
  • Knowledge of managed care, the health insurance industry, legal document template/style review and legal branding requirements for Commercial & Medicare.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS in public relations, journalism, communications or related area; 
  • 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 
  • MS preferred.
