Lincolnwood Public Library is seeking a creative-minded Content Specialist who is passionate about both digital media and traditional advertising. Candidates should be interested in what makes someone share and how people communicate. This position is focused on print and digital marketing strategies and creating publicity that is delightful, interesting, original, and engaging to audiences of all ages. The ideal candidate is comfortable being involved in every part of the creative process, from generating ideas using a variety of formats for a wide range of services and programs to participating in patron and staff communication while handling revisions with ease and a smile.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires expertise typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or marketing-related degree. Minimum 2 years marketing experience in a comparable business organization or library is necessary. Experience in video editing or video production preferred.

Skills:

Software

Ability to effectively use industry standard design and editing software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere. Knowledge of Windows operating system necessary.

Video Production

Considerable knowledge of video production including recording, lighting, sound, editing, and exporting.

Digital Marketing

Knowledge and understanding of eNewsletters, Social Media management and website management necessary. Knowledge of WordPress preferred.

Statistics

Demonstrated practice in gathering and interpreting insights across social media platforms and digital communication for statistical use. Strong understanding of Google analytics preferred.

Communication

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Possess interpersonal skills for working with patrons, vendors, library staff and general public.

Preference will be given to applications received by Monday, August 7, 2017. Salary is $20/hour depending on qualifications & education, plus a competitive benefits package.
