The position of Community Manager is an integral component in the overall business model of Patina Solutions Group, Inc. and the individual in the Community Manager role is a key member of the corporate team. The individual in this role reports to the Director of Marketing and is based in the Patina Solutions Corporate Headquarters in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The focus of this position is to help create, build, maintain, manage and expand two critical programs to help drive company success. The first program, PatinaNation.com, will help Patina engage with, socialize and monetize the thousands of executives who have joined Patina Nation. The second program, Patina Affiliates, will help expand sales and help Patina to reach and work with smaller companies. The Community Manager will also help provide and execute on new and exciting ideas as the two programs develop. As time permits, the Community Manager may also assist the Director of Marketing with national marketing initiatives.

Summary Job Description:

  • Help develop, maintain and update websites
  • Manage outreach programs such as Talent Bulletins, Scout Bulletins, “Company of the Week,” “Member News” and more
  • Create weekly summary e-mail messages/updates to Members
  • Assist Members with questions
  • Produce and support national, regional and local conferences/meetings for select Patina Nation members
  • Produce online conferences and other learning programs and materials for select Patina Nation members Support relationships between vendors and Patina Nation in areas such as online training, social media or marketing support
  • Coordinate “best practice” online community meetings and materials for select Patina Nation members
  • Contribute to ongoing ideas, changes and improvements in what we offer our communities
  • Support national marketing initiatives, such as: 
  • Digital Campaigns 
  • Case Study Development 
  • Sales Tool Creation

Core Competencies and Personal Characteristics:

Patina Solutions needs an outstanding Community Manager. Having someone dedicated to leading this important work is critical to our ability to grow. A key to our success is the ability of our Community Manager to build a dynamic environment for the Patina Nation through relationship building, developing best practices in community management, producing good content, deploying successful engagement strategies, and establishing and tracking key metrics.

To succeed in the Community Manager role, the individual must be an extremely motivated self-starter with a high level of business intelligence and resourcefulness. Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to perform multiple tasks, stay organized, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are also necessary.

In addition to having overall strong professional presence, the Community Manager should possess key personality characteristics including extroversion, flexibility, competitiveness and a strong desire for recognition and success. The individual in this role must be comfortable doing detailed work in addition to being creative and contributing to the expansion of the community programs.

The primary success factor of the Community Manager is to work closely and effectively with Patina Solutions’ Director of Marketing to create, build, maintain, manage and expand these two important programs. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in a corporate or business environment
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Experience in online community building 
  • Fast paced and high energy
  • Self-starter who manages time well
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Excellent social media skills and know-how
  • Excellent software and technology skills; experience with database administration and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Comfortable working with the C-suite level executives
  • Ability to work from our Brookfield, Wisconsin office
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Patina markets
  • Experience in professional level content creation and distribution via social media and other platforms is a plus
  • Experience in remote management or support a plus – this role will work with Patina offices and executives around the USA
  • Event coordination experience is a plus
  • Experience creating websites and apps working with Marketing and IT is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Experience with HubSpot, Photoshop, WordPress, and/or InDesign is a plus
