The Communications Specialist will report to the National Director of Mission Distinction, and will directly support programs focused on better serving uninsured and underserved Americans by increasing their access to services that help improve health outcomes. The Communications Specialist must understand how to drive complex business processes throughout and across a matrix organization, and will be expected to coordinate local partners, events, and media. You’ll be working alongside local and national communications and social responsibility teams to drive these reputation programs to success. In doing so, you’ll support new means for reporting, evaluating and measuring our impact. Additionally, you’ll work across the organization and our lines of business to create content and materials that drive UnitedHealthcare’s reputation as a result of this work.
The Communications Specialist is responsible for providing project management and broader support that enables the Mission Distinction leadership team to deliver externally and internally on social investment programs and strategies. This level of involvement can range from leading the management of a comprehensive project plan to conducting market research on social investment strategies and broader corporate social responsibility and communications initiatives.
Phenomenal communication and organizational skills make a strong communications specialist. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities too.
