Communication Specialist

The Candeo Creative communication specialist will experience first-hand copywriting, content writing and community management for clients and campaigns. The communication specialist will work hand-in-hand with the communication team, account managers, art department and strategy department to ensure that messages are of the highest quality and meet the clients’ needs.

The communication specialist will work hand-in-hand with various members of the communication team to craft messages for advertising, public relations and digital content marketing (social media, blogs, websites, etc.). This position is a perfect fit for you if you are able to:

  • Communicate well with team members from across the organization 
  • Explore and provide creative and effective solutions to meet the needs of the client 
  • Research, understand, appreciate and implement new trends in content marketing 
  • Work closely with clients to understand their voice, values and business objectives 
  • Pursue high quality results that exceed expectations 
  • Think critically and problem solve 
  • Produce exceptional work while under pressure of a deadline 
  • Understand the value of excellent customer service 
  • Appreciate that community management is NOT a 9 to 5 position 
  • Write in AP Style 
  • Work self-sufficiently and seek help when needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field 
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in creative agency or marketing position 
  • Solid understanding of AP Style Ability to pick up and adapt to new tools and systems 
  • Proficient in Sprout Social, WordPress, and other social/ content management platforms 
  • Strong creative writing and editing skills
  • Stellar interpersonal communication skills 
  • Knowledge of how to use Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms for marketing 
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of public relations 
  • Ability to manage time and priorities to work efficiently and effortlessly 
  • Effective verbal and written communicator utilizing various digital platforms 
  • Ability to work in a multi-task, multi-priority, high volume, and fast-paced environment with limited supervision and direction 
  • Highly organized and deadline driven 
  • Ability to handle and give feedback and constructive criticism 
  • Ability to work effectively on a team with a positive attitude
