The first priority of the central office administration is to support parishes and schools. Everything we do focuses on serving the people of God through our parishes.The second role is helping parishes do the things that they can not do by themselves. Central office leaders provide resources, leadership and support to allow parishes to offer ministries they would otherwise not be able to provide because of lack of resources or expertise.

Our Catholic Schools Marketing Manager is charged with effectively building relationships within grade schools, high schools and religious-sponsored schools with the archdiocese. And to serve as the archdiocesan communication staff contact to school administrators and volunteers regarding marketing, advertising, public relations and promotional efforts.

  • Create and implement successful school marketing models, as well as coordinate the production of all materials related to marketing campaigns with approval from supervisor.
  • Collectively plan and implement training of parish and school personnel/volunteers in marketing and recruitment strategies.
  • Work with Hispanic communication coordinator to facilitate Spanish language translation.
  • Attend meetings, establish agendas and prepare meeting materials for Schools Office and Communications Office.
  • Conduct surveys, compile data and assess next steps to improve marketing strategies.
  • Interface with outside consultative bodies, agencies and vendors. Finding ways to align parishes and schools in marketing and resources, working together, building this relationship and combining resources.
  • Analyze past marketing efforts and collaborations to determine the model and/or approach to assist.
  • Create models to effectively help groups of schools in similar situations instead of individual assistance.
  • Strategize to assert levels of assistance, analyze levels of need and determine levels of marketing knowledge to make sure the approach properly suits the parish/school to grow and thrive.
  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field required.
  • Minimum of three to five years professional experience in communication field required, including proven writing, editing, project management.
  • Experience within a non-profit organization.
  • Experience in public relations applications in a web-based environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church; active participation in a Catholic parish preferred.
  • General knowledge and understanding of Catholic Schools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary electronic forms of communication preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite including, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with basic html and web applications.
  • It is expected that the individual who is hired to fill this position will not speak on behalf of any other organization while a member of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee communications staff.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.

Benefit eligible first of the month following 30 days of employment.
