Trade Press Media Group is looking to add an ambitious, organized, and articulate self-starter to our Advertising Sales team.  

As a member of Trade Press Media Group’s Advertising Sales team you will sell multi-platform B2B media advertising including print, web and email. Focused on phone sales, you will manage, maintain and cultivate a portfolio of clients and agencies to foster future revenue. You will also help plan and execute successful advertising campaigns by determining the best media products to use, the most appropriate sales approach to take, and negotiating competitive advertising rates with clients/agencies. We will provide the on-going training and support you need to be successful. You must be able to work within tight deadlines in a structured environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have experience working with computers. Previous sales experience (particularly in an inside sales environment) is an asset.

Requirements:

  • You are happy working in our offices (not from home or out in the field), Monday-Friday
  • You are able to work within tight deadlines in a structured environment
  • You are computer savvy with a working knowlege of MS Office, Google product suite, and email (experience with contact management database is a plus)
  • You have the ability to perform the sales process from prospecting to closing - all while providing excellent customer service
  • You are able to make powerful and persuasive presentations (both verbally and in writing)
  • You have a general understanding of print and digital advertising methods and practices
  • You are able to sell multi-platform advertising media including web, print, and email
  • You are driven to achieve and exceed budget targets on a per issue, month, and quarterly basis
  • You are an ambitious, organized, and articulate self-starter
  • Previous sales experience (particularly in an phone sales environment) is an asset
