We’re seeking an energetic, collaborative thinker to join our team in Madison, WI. You’re fluent in all traditional and modern research methods, and know how to deploy the right combination to test hypotheses, and derive and validate insights. You’re adept at translating those insights into actionable, inspiring briefs for creative teams, as well as compelling client presentations. Your big ideas will motivate folks across all teams at Planet to deliver work that exceeds expectations. You’re equally at home combing through consumer data as you are paging throughWiredand clicking throughBustleto figure out what makes people tick.

  • 3+ years experience as an agency Account Planner, Strategist, or Researcher
  • Innate curiosity
  • Deep interest in the psychology of how consumers and brands think and operate
  • Whole brain thinking – ability to cogently combine left and right brain thinking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to navigate varied personalities
  • Ability to articulate ideas well, be resourceful and persistent in execution of ideas
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to recommend and implement primary research (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Development of compelling presentations with limited supervision
  • Deep knowledge of emerging technologies and platforms and how they alter human (consumer) behavior
  • Excellent facility with relevant software: Excel, Presentation (PowerPoint / Keynote), Word, Google Drive

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience conducting first party research, esp. IDIs, surveys, focus groups, ethnographies
