The Account Director, Public Relations, manages communications strategies across three-to-five key B2B accounts to deliver transformational outcomes for Branigan Communications clients.

You will work closely with Branigan Communications management team to strategize, facilitate, manage and exceed goals and client expectations. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing client programs and activities. You will ensure that all programs are strategically on target with clients’ business objectives; maintain day-to-day contact with client; and report program results to agency management and client.

  • Serve as primary client contact; continually foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to client.
  • Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients' business and competitive environments; apply this information in preparing and presenting strategically focused programs and recommendations.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing communications strategies for public relations and social media discipline.
  • Play key role in account activities including special events, media relations, program implementation, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports.
  • Successfully pitch all media types and secure local, regional and national media opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor program plans and budgets for profitability; report status to client and agency management on a regular basis.
  • Explore and create opportunities for incremental business growth within your clients' organizations.
  • Participate in the research, writing and presentation of new business proposals.
  • Develop an understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal and external resources in implementing research projects.
  • At least five to seven years of progressive experience in the public relations/communications field
  • A bachelor's degree in communications, public realtions, marketing or a related field
  • Client-facing account management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven media relations success pitching trade, local and national media
  • Solid foundation in digital marketing, tools and channels
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Corporate training experience is a bonus
