Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Writing: Draft media communications, marketing content, social media copy and other writing assignments. 
  • Information Management: Stay current on marketing trends. Develop target lists for marketing campaigns. Support the account services team in gathering information and conducting research. 
  • Account Coordination: Take ownership of client assignments from creation to execution to measurement. Manage up to account leads regarding projects and related deadlines. Assist in identifying opportunities, ideas and solutions for client campaigns including media relations angles and strategic marketing approaches. 
  • Marketing: Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns including email marketing, ambassador programs, event management, media relations, thought leadership, content marketing, social media engagement and advertising. 
  • Confidentiality: Display a high level of integrity by maintaining the confidence of proprietary information. Protect all tangible and intangible company assets. 

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct special research and other projects as assigned 
  • Serve as back-up when an account lead is out of the office with client relations 
  • Support event planning and execution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or equivalent work experience 
  • 1-2 years relevant work/internship experience 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated proofreading skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems 
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential information 
  • Ability to foster teamwork and thrive in a collaborative environment 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Proficient with Twitter, Facebook and other social media tools 

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency with WordPress, MailChimp and Google Analytics 
  • Previous agency experience a plus
