Role Purpose:

This role will be a general comms and change management project support role working on a project in the Global Operations Supply Chain function in North America. The role will be for the duration of the project (one year) with the role also providing some general support to the line manager – the Organisational Change Manager in North America.

Main Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Organisational Change Manager, the main responsibilities of the role will be to:

  • Provide comms and change management support for the TMS project for the impacted group – the North American transportation team 
  • Supporting the coordination of training activities for the team, working with the technical supplier 
  • Develop initial change management and comms plan, stakeholder mapping, change impact assessments and drive these activities for the duration of the project 
  • Provide structured monitoring of change management/comms activities and updates at a project and Steering Committee level 
  • Document as-is roles and the changes in process the new system will bring (as part of change impact assessments) 
  • Agree metrics to track user acceptance of the tool (eg log-ins in system) 
  • Support the project team with recruiting any additional resources for the overall project

COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communications and facilitation skills 
  • Comfortable and confident working within a global matrixed organisation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or equivalent level 
  • Change management qualification desirable (eg Prosci, APMG change management practitioner or similar)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience of change management, communications and / or training roles within private sector businesses (consumer business experience desirable) 
  • Some experience in running/being involved in Supply Chain projects is desirable (but not essential) 
  • Direct experience leading comms and change management activities on projects 
  • Some experience on technical implementations (SAP and/or Oracle experience desirable)

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong comms and change management knowledge 
  • Ability to suggest and propose new ideas, and to assist/shape/develop enhancement proposals put forward by others 
  • Strong delivery and facilitation skills 
  • An ability to share change management principles in compelling way to business employees
