Boeing is recruiting an experienced communicator with excellent critical thinking and strategic communications planning skills.

This position is responsible for a wide range of employee communications, with a focus on advancing the company’s global talent strategy with messaging targeted both to internal and external audiences. Qualified candidates will provide advice and counsel on communications strategies to HR leaders that will help them accomplish their business goals. They will establish and achieve long-term communication results by delivering key messages across the company using a variety of media and creative communications approaches. Project work in this area does involve outreach to external stakeholders, so having a good working knowledge of public relations is important to success. The person selected for this position must demonstrate superior project management skills to effectively lead the implementation of communication plans for major projects. This position requires exceptional writing and editing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain constructive working relationships with a wide range of business partners on a proactive basis.

Additional responsibilities:

Leads and implements communication activities regarding company strategies, initiatives and business environment through tailored approaches and tools to employees both domestically and globally. Provides direction to management regarding large scale executive communications activities, including speeches and presentations. Writes and edits employee communications pieces and other deliverables. Conducts research to support company initiatives that meet the needs of senior leadership to inform and engage the employee bases. Collateral material will be used to support these initiatives.

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with very little oversight 
  • Able to make decisions that could ultimately impact the company's reputation 
  • Think proactively and work collaboratively

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Experience writing employee communications that have been distributed directly to an employee audience 
  • College degree in Communications, English or Journalism 
  • Experience developing strategic communication plans 
  • Recommended strategic communication approaches to company leaders and managed execution of the strategy
