Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Technology Coordination

Support personalization of customer shopping experience through:

  • Managing and maintaining a system through ongoing data collection
  • Creating technology-related solutions to deliver seamlessly personalized integration to enhance customer-centric shopping experiences for our customers and target market. Partner with departments to meet specific needs and requests.
  • Identifying and implementing in-store technology to maximize in-store engagement, education, and experience through signage, apps, interactive displays etc.
  • Support increased in-store traffic through management of mobile coupons, apps, and other technology platforms
  • In partnership with Store Systems, troubleshoot technological issues as they arise

Online Brand Coordination

Coordinate and manage social media presence on all applicable platforms, including messaging and content, through:

  • Consistency and carry-through in brand voice for all communication mediums, including copy writing and storytelling
  • Participate in content strategy and planning, including development and maintenance of a content calendar
  • Daily interaction, including personalizing responses (development, editing, publishing, sharing etc.)
  • Adhering to promotional and marketing strategic plans to ensure ROI
  • Collaboration with departments to execute timely and effective promotional campaigns
  • Monitoring all social media conversations and platforms to engage with community, repurposing relevant posts from other organizations to further the co-op’s mission and marketing plan.
  • Data analytics – create weekly reports providing key insights, activity metrics, trends, popular content, story ideas etc.
  • As necessary, adjust overall outreach strategy using metrics, insights, best practices, and trends.
  • Developing and managing employee advocacy program
  • Develop content strategies to increase website traffic. Track and report website metrics.
  • Accountability to maximize efforts for SEO
  • Partner with Communications Specialist for relevant photos and videos to enhance online content

As Requested:

  • Participate in branding audits, training and support
  • Attend and participate in departmental, editorial and promotional planning meetings
  • Coordinate with Marketing Brand Manager on other marketing projects

Mandatory Qualifications:

B.S. in Marketing or related field with 1+ years previous professional social media experience, or A.S. in Marketing or related field with 2+ years of previous professional social media experience, or 3+ years previous professional social media experience in each of the following areas:

  • Social Media strategic planning 
  • Writing and monitoring social media content 
  • Fluid understanding and previous use of: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In, Pinterest, etc. 
  • Data analytics and reporting

English proficiency; Friendly customer service with a sense of urgency

Strong project management and organization skills with demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems

Ability to work independently or on a team with ability to meet deadlines, coordinate projects and work varied hours and days.

Proficiency in MS Office. Strong technical aptitude to learn and adapt to changing technology.

Strong organizational, time management and communication skills (verbal, listening, & written).

High ethical standards with personal integrity with the ability to convey a positive public image, acting in the best interests of the business.

Demonstrated objectivity, neutrality, and calmness under pressure and timely follow-through to commitments

Detail oriented, able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business

Regular, predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual
  • Previous experience with technology management and systems implementation
  • 3+ years previous marketing experience and a B.S. degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Strong understanding of the retail, grocery/co-op, natural/organic food industry.

Physical Demands of Position:

  • Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up 20+ pounds occasionally
  • Manual dexterity with ability to grasp and perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and fingers for extended periods of time
  • Close visual acuity to focus on and/or read data and words on a computer monitor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform sedentary work for extended periods of time; standing and walking occasionally required
