Overview:

Provide creative strategy, design + content development, and account management in partnership with Team Open Book to help mission-driven organizations tell their stories with clarity and creativity.

Primary duties Include:

Creative Strategy + Ideation:

  • Generate creative concepts, language, and strategy to develop client brands, as well as the Open Book brand, in ways that incite audience engagement
  • Identify key problems + brand challenges and strategize how to solve for these
  • Strategize around Open Book team resources and assignments
  • Provide insight and strategy into how projects are approached and timed

Design + Content Development:

  • Lead execution of creative projects for clients across multiple platforms and media 
  • Shape brand messaging and creative content development to include (but not limited to) design content for web, print, video, and branding packages 
  • Work collaboratively with Open Book creative team to create print and digital deliverables to include identity and branding materials, infographics, print, illustrations, advertising collateral, websites, video story boards etc. 
  • Review design collateral and provide feedback and direction on Creative Content Developers’ work product

Client Services + Account Management:

  • Help identify, discern, and anticipate client needs in a project with a professional and helpful demeanor 
  • Successfully organize and prioritize tasks to move projects forward and to completion 
  • Proactively communicate timelines, coordinate deliverables, and push projects forward with the Open Book team and clients

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong design skills in Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) 
  • Experience in front-end web development (HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript) and “designing in the browser” for WordPress and/or SquareSpace frameworks 
  • Experience or exposure to video design and production 
  • Ability to take initiative and carry creative, commercially-viable ideas to completion 
  • Excellent communication skills, most notably a demonstrated ability to solicit, address, and give creative and design feedback 
  • Ability to stay on top of creative trends and tools to identify opportunities to constantly improve the creative development process 
  • Knowledge of print production + preparing creative assets for print 

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of creative + design experience
