Olive & Company is looking for an experienced account manager to work full-time at our Minneapolis agency. The account manager is responsible for ensuring that Olive delivers high-quality strategic leadership and customer service to our clients. The account manager is also responsible for establishing and guiding solid client partnerships, defining the scope and vision of all client work, managing timelines and creative development, and making sure the client is satisfied with the results.

Our ideal candidate will be an individual with agency experience who manages client relationships with confidence, provides big picture vision and detailed execution, is able to clarify and develop client direction, and offers a consultative, expert dialog on all areas of strategic creative services. Candidates must be passionate about driving brand and business results for clients, and must be completely comfortable with modern marketing trends and tactics.

Applicants must have 3+ years of relevant experience and be willing to work on-site at our Minneapolis office.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with client teams to develop a complete understanding of their business, industry, brand, and goals. 
  • Collaborate with strategists to develop holistic, goal-oriented project plans and strategies for clients. 
  • Communicate project plans and vision to clients, and help client teams build consensus among internal stakeholders and executive leadership. 
  • Define project scope and deliverables and develop detailed project estimates and proposals. 
  • Develop detailed creative project briefs for our internal team. 
  • Coordinate with a project manager to oversee workflow of individual project components while keeping projects tracked to deadlines and scope. 
  • Monitor and align all project work with client brand and business objectives. 
  • Manage ongoing relationship with the client, and identify opportunities for client engagement growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an account manager (or similar) at a creative services or marketing agency. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience presenting creative work, developing rationale, and selling with confidence. 
  • Confidence in suggesting additional related and relevant projects to clients to expand scope. 
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem resolution skills. 
  • Experience managing a robust pipeline of creative projects with diverse deliverables. 
  • Experience working on interactive, brand, and other strategic creative project components. 
  • Experience working on inbound marketing programs preferred. 
  • Ability to estimate project effort and maintain project budgets. 
  • Comfortable collaborating and communicating with writers, designers, and developers. 
  • Able to serve demanding clients with confidence.
