This is in response to the needs of a growing population of people with special needs in Southeastern Wisconsin.

We're hiring a Digital Marketing Manager, to join our dynamic Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate will have minimum of a Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications, plus a minimum of three years of experience as a digital media manager or specialist. Knowledge of, social media strategies and excellent written and verbal communication skils are essential. The Milwaukee Center for Independence has been a leading provider of life-changing programs and services for children and adults with disabilities, special needs and barriers to success since 1938.

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and updating agency web and social media sites to enhance brand awareness. Develop strategies to increase MCFI's social media and online presence, including growing and managing social media channels with relevant posts, articles and videos. Maintain digital catalog of projects, marketing collateral; extract, interpret and present analytics.

Reporting Relationships: This role reports to the Associate Director of Marketing.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain websites and manage web developer/agency. 
  • Develop and execute social media strategies for MCFI and affiliates, and update sites as needed. 
  • Manage digital photography and maintain photo library. 
  • Work closely with executives and program leaders to execute projects. 
  • Coordinate and execute videos to include scripting, shooting, editing and posting in addition to videotaping events such as conferences, all-staff meetings and fundraisers. 
  • Assist with research for and production of presentations on digital outcomes. 
  • Maintain e-blast database and clippings file. 
  • Assist with writing copy for marketing collateral. 
  • Assist with media relations as needed.

Required Technical Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience as a digital media manager or specialist.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Photoshop, and other media editing software. 
  • Knowledge of social media strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and collaborate with others.
  • Photography and videography skills.
  • A valid Wisconsin driver's license, and automobile insurance with minimum limits of $50,000/$100,000 bodily injury and $10,000 property damage and access
