As one of our editors, you’ll go behind the scenes with the Big 4 manufacturers and be writing, editing, marketing, planning, and riding for the top media in the field. Plus you’ll be a part of everything that’s new and important in the world of snowmobiling.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and help design accurate and well-presented stories and features about snowmobiles and snowmobiling. Obtain art, photos, and video to accompany articles.
  • Edit editorial content for accuracy, style and grammar.
  • Assist editor with workflow to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Help create and be the talent for product videos, perform video interviews, and capture video and photos at events, rides, and for how-to segments.
  • Attend and actively work trade shows, snowmobile events, and ride sleds as assigned.
  • Ride, coordinate test riders, demo vehicles, trailers and maintenance throughout the season.
  • Participate in Marketing and planning as well as other staff meetings.
  • Continually look to develop ideas for Web and social media content as well as write, edit, and post Web and social media copy, photos, and video.
  • Help visualize and create new sources of revenue for the brand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering or equivalent background.
  • Experience in publishing or in writing and editing final versions of professional material
  • Must have prior snowmobiling, motorsports, or outdoor experience and be able to ride 2000+ miles/season on a snowmobile.
  • Experience in developing and posting Web and social media content.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work up to 6 weekend trade shows each fall in addition to traveling for up to 16 trips during the fall/winter/early spring.
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds, move and transport snowmobiles, gear and trailers.
  • Ability to work outside in winter conditions for up to 10 hours at a time.
  • Relocation to Milwaukee is required.
