The Digital Strategist will help agency account teams plan, develop and implement strategic digital media programs that support increased exposure, engagement and dialogue with target audience groups. This person will perform data mining to spot trends in the industry, identify opportunities and threats for brands and competitors, and provide actionable recommendations for our clients. The position requires an ability to handle a fast-paced work day with tasks changing as client and agency needs evolve.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify digital media opportunities and develop an actionable plan for execution and measurement 
  • Manage our clients’ presence on social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram and other similar community sites 
  • Produce unique content for blog posts and infographics that can be distributed to mainstream media and other social media influencers 
  • Develop strategies for growing and leveraging our clients’ social presence including using promotions, contests, polls, ads, surveys and referral programs 
  • Develop digital media strategies to create brand advocates for our clients 
  • Identify evangelists and influencers to virally spread our clients’ value proposition
  • Conduct social media research, analyses, and audits to provide account teams and clients with strategic recommendations for digital media initiatives that align with marketing communications objectives 
  • Integrate online research into the strategy development process to create digital media initiatives 
  • Responsible for developing content across earned and owned digital media channels for the agency and select clients
  • Define key digital media performance indicators and implement monitoring, measurement, analytics and reporting methods to gauge digital media success 
  • Test and recommend alternative ways to leverage digital media strategies and tactics to the advantage of our clients, their programs, and values 
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers and clients to educate and train on digital media best practices 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience or equivalent exposure to a corporate environment 
  • BA or BS with focus on communication: Advertising/Marketing 
  • Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing digital media initiatives 
  • Experience with leveraging digital media management and analytics tools 
  • Facilitate writing, editing, and crafting of content for the digital media space 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing current best practices and understanding of digital production practices 

Desired Experience/Traits: 

  • Strong writing and editing skills 
  • Solid understanding of PR strategy 
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team structure 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Photography skills a plus
